Proud to Announce the Launch of the New Portland Hope Ball Website for the American Cancer Society

Proud to Announce the Launch of the New Portland Hope Ball Website for the American Cancer Society

Emerge Interactive collaborated closely with American Cancer Society Distinguished Events Director Jodi Buell, Hope Ball 2010 committee member Lindsay Yale of Grady Britton, and Art Director Chris DeWan of Swim345 to create a rich and fanciful site, supporting the theme of this years Hope Ball, “Masquerade.” Emerge donated all work in the form of an in-kind contribution to the American Cancer Society, as a part of our ongoing commitment to support important social causes.

Emerge was also responsible for all technical development, including the integration of their WebActiveTM Enterprise-class Content Management System (CMS), which allows Hope Ball staff and volunteers to quickly and easily make changes and updates to the site’s content.

The Portland Hope Ball is the American Cancer Society’s annual fundraiser, and gives Portlanders the opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer while enjoying a spectacular evening of great food, drink, auctions, and events. All proceeds raised through the Portland Hope Ball support the Society’s mission of funding cancer research, education, and support programs. Hope Ball proceeds also support the Society’s education efforts – which bring more awareness to cancer in our community – and support services that provide patients, survivors and their families with a better quality of life.

The American Cancer Society hopes “Masquerade” will raise $240,000 for cancer research, $64,000 of which directly supports Camp Ukandu and the Cancer Survivor College Scholarship Program.
